TRAINS
For Savannah travel by train, Amtrak stops in Savannah on its Atlantic Coast Service between New York and Miami. AUTOMOBILES
If your Savannah travel plans include driving your own car, you'll find that Savannah is only a two-hour drive from Jacksonville, Florida, four hours from Charlotte, North Carolina, four hours from Atlanta, Georgia and two hours from Charleston, South Carolina.
From the north or south, I-95 passes 10 miles west of Savannah, with several exits to the city, and U.S. 17 runs through the city. From the west, I-16 ends in downtown Savannah, and U.S. 80 also runs through the city from east to west.

The Greyhound bus station is located at 610 Oglethorpe Avenue, and open 24 hours everyday.
