Savannah Visitor Center

301 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

National Historic Landmark

The Savannah Visitor Center is located in the old red-brick passenger terminal of the Central of Georgia Railroad complex. The bulding is also home to the Chamber of Commerce and the Savannah History Museum. Built in the 1850s and 1860s, the railway used the building with high ceilings and sweeping archways until 1972.

The visitor center is a great starting point for your trip to Savannah. It offers an interesting audiovisual overview of Savannah, as well as organized tours, and self-guided walking, driving and bike tours, free maps and brochures on local attractions. It is a good place to park your car while exploring the historic district, and is also the starting point for most of the guided tours.

Open daily:
Monday–Friday: 8:30am-5pm
Saturday–Sunday: 9am-5pm
