2019 Critz Tybee Run Fest – 11th Anniversary

The Critz Tybee Run Fest is an annual weekend event, combining five different races from 1 mile to 13.1 miles, totaling up to the 26.2 mile marathon distance. In addition to a world-class race atmosphere, the race weekend provides entertainment for families and friends traveling with participants. Proceeds from the event benefit local organizations that foster education and healthy lifestyles.

Jason Dahlke Adventure Race
Oct. 6, 2018 - Lotts Island on Hunter Army Airfield
Open to the Public
The race is a unique combination of checkpoint finding and physical challenges.  2-person teams can enjoy a 2-hour or a 4-hour race… for both beginners and experts—4-6 miles of trekking, 12-15 miles of biking, and 1-2 miles of kayaking (long-course only). Compass skills are required and miscellaneous challenges will be spread throughout the course. 
The event commemorates the life of SSG Dahlke, an Army Ranger killed in Afghanistan in 2009. It raises money for the Sua Sponte Foundation which supports 1/75 Army Rangers and their families.
